Chelsea football club decided to sack their manager, Frank Lampard yesterday following inconsistent performances in the Premier League.
The poor form of the Blues have seen them drop to 9th in the Premier League.
Looking at the teams in the Premier League this season, Chelsea have been named among the favorites given their squad strength available at the disposal of Frank Lampard.
The former Derby County boss brought in likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva in a spending spree of over 220m pounds.
But his top targets in Timo Werner and Kai Havertz who were bought for 50m pounds and 72m pounds respectively have been struggling so far.
Despite Werner being played in several positions, he is yet to display his great goal scoring form he displayed while he was at RB Leipzig last season.
This season, Oliver Giroud seems to be the striker in form for Chelsea ahead of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner.
But now, the sack of Frank Lampard has raised a lot of comments on who the in coming manager will prefer in the trio.
Former manager of Paris Saint-Germain, Thomas Tuchel have been suggested to take over as the manager as the Stamford Bridge, according to Goal.
Meanwhile, Goal designed a poll for fans on who should be Chelsea's new striker under th incoming Tuchel.
To my surprise, Oliver Giroud currently leads the polls with 100% as may fans agree that thr French man should lead the line.
Giroud is yet to confirm his future with Chelsea as he's currently on his last year in his contract, and it seems Chelsea are reluctant to extend the 33 years old deal.
