Manchester City thrashed Chelsea 3-1 at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.
All Manchester City's goals came in the first half with Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne on the scoresheet.

After the game, Pep Guardiola has praised his side performance, strong that they balanced the game despite playing without a striker and some key players were missing due to Covid-19 positive cases among the team.

Guardiola told reporters after the game: "The players were excellent in every way especially with the ball. We cannot play like other teams, we have to play in our rhythm and attack in the right moment.

"We won titles in that way, more patient. We have missed a bit of this tempo and today we had it."

Manchester City are expected to be without Gabriel Jesus, Kyle Walker, Ferran Torres, Nathan Ake, Ederson for the next few weeks as they continue to self isolate.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach believes Chelsea are struggling due to their last results.

Just so you know, Chelsea are without victory in their last two games, as the Blues lost to Arsenal and were held to a score draw against Aston Villa last week.

Guardiola added: "Chelsea are one of strongest teams and they are suffering from last game, but you see the quality of their players and the bench.

"We had a plan - we tried to play like we have in the past and it worked."

Manchester City will now have to turn to their semi final clash against rival Manchester United in the Carabao cup. The game is expected to be played on Wednesday.
