Thomas Tuchel set to be named new Chelsea manager after Lampard sacking

Earlier today, Chelsea part ways with their manager, Frank Lampard. The Blues have displayed some inconsistent results especially in the Premier League, where they sit in 9th position.
Frank Lampard has spent over 220m pounds in the transfer window with likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva joined the club. 

Chelsea defeated Luton Town with Tammy Abraham scoring a hat-trick as they qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup over the weekend. 

Just so you know, The Blues have lost five out of their last eight Premier League games. They are currently occupying the ninth in the top flight and five points off the top four.

According to Sky Sports, Stamford Bridge hierarchy are in advanced negotiations with Thomas Tuchel to take over. 

Recall that the Tuchel was sacked as manager of Paris Saint-Germain on last Christmas Eve. 

He was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino and itoks like the German tactician is set to be back in the dug out after two months. 

Chelsea will face Wolverhampton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The game is expected to kick off at 7pm GMT.
