Manchester United got the opportunity to move three points clear on top of the Premier League table after their victory last night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side were on same points with Liverpool prior to the Tuesday night.

United traveled to Turf Moore to face a resilient Burnley side who held the Red Devils until the 71st minutes.

It was Paul Pogba who got the only goal of the game with less than 30 minutes left to play.

The French man shot deflect off the body of Burnley defender and beat goalkeeper Nick Pope.

The victory move United to 36 points, sitting on top of the table.

After the game, Ole Gunnar revealed he had to speak to his players while in the dressing room a half time following two calls from VAR in the first half.

"You've got to calm them down at half-time because emotions are running high because they disagree with the things that happen out there," Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

"So we have to take back control and we played really well in the second half and we held out at the end."

During the game the video assistant referee was called into action following some moments in the game.

The first incident came when Manchester United defender Luke Shaw had committed a foul with play continued and Burnley's Robbie Brady denied Edinson Cavani a goalscoring opportunity with a foul outside the box.

Following the video review, referee Kevin Friend issued Luke Shaw a yellow card.and disregarded Manchester United foul on Cavani.

The second incident saw Harry Maguire scored the opener with a header, but was ruled out due to a controversial foul by the defender during his leap.

On the two incidents, Solskajer said: "I've not watched any of the decisions so I can't really say. Might've been a foul by Luke apparently so that's probably the right decision, definitely not a foul for Harry for his goal. If you can't jump and head it in like this, I don't believe that's anywhere near a foul. Delighted with the response after a bit of a tough first half-hour."

Meanwhile, Manchester United will face Liverpool in their next game this weekend.
