Mesut Ozil makes his Fenerbahce debut. It's his first game since March 7th, 2020. If you recall that the former Real Madrid star completed the transfer to Fenerbahce days ago.
He's been handed jersey number 67 with the Turkish side.
He got his contract with Arsenal terminated by mutual consent.
He was frozen out of the team following a broken relationship with the club hierarchy after he reportedly turned down an offer to accept pay cut.
Ozil came on as a substitute in Fenerbahce game against Hatayspor this evening. It was a 2-1 away victory.
In the 76th minutes, Mesut Ozil came on board for Thiam and he looked very happy as he made his way on to the pitch of play.
Mesut Ozil was so excited to be making bis debut for his new club as he took to his Twitter page to express his delight.
He gave a shout out to his new team mate and his goalkeeper for his saves to hand them the three points.
