Borussia Monchengladbach have announced their manager Marco Rose will leave at the end of the season. According to reports, Rose is expected to join Borussia Dortmund as their new manager next season.

Gladbach confirmed the appointment in a statement on Monday by stating Rose had triggered the €5m release clause on his contract ahead of his contract expiration next year.

The 44-year-old will succeed Edin Terzic, who has been managing at Signal Iduna Park since their former manager was sacked earlier in the season.

“We have held a lot of talks in recent weeks to discuss Marco’s future. Unfortunately, he has opted to trigger a clause in his contract and move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer,” according to director Max Eberl.
