Arteta gives reason He hasn't been playing Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal set to face Olympiacos on Thursday night. The Gunners are currently preparing for the second leg clash.
Although, the north London side currently a first leg advantage after they defeated Greek side 3-1 in Athens. 

One player who hasn't gotten enough game time under Mikel Arteta happens to be Gabriel Martinelli, the Brazilian international is yet to find his feet in the team. 

The 18 years old is one of the bright talents in Arsenal after he scored 10 goals in all competitions last season before he suffered knee injury. 

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has given an explanation on the reason he hasn't been selecting Martinelli. 

Speaking on Arsenal's website, Arteta said: "No, if anything it's my fault, he has done everything perfect, he trains incredibly well every day, his attitude cannot be any better, he is disappointed he is not playing more obviously and I have spoken to him, but he needs to be a little bit patient." 

Recall that Gabriel Martinelli missed Arsenal's 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur last week. Although it wasn't stated whether it was due to injury. 

But on Tuesday, he was seen in training with the rest of his team mates ahead of Olympiacos clash. 
Arteta added that Martinelli will get his opportunity in the team. 

He added: "He had some minutes, he had some games as well and it's true the competition for the front positions is very tough but he needs to be patient and he will get his chance."
