Chris Wilder set to vacate his position as manager of Sheffield United following a struggling season

Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder is on the brink of leaving his role as manager.

Wilder has been the manager of the Blades since nearly five years in charge. 

According to Sky Sports, Chris Wilder got into some disagreements the board over the running of the club and plans for next season following a meeting on Friday. 

Wilder, who took over at Bramall Lane in May 2016. 

The Blades have spent almost the entirety of this season bottom of the table and are currently 12 points off safety with 10 games remaining.
