It appears that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might not have the opportunity of facing his former club after years of leaving.
Following the draws of the round of 16 Europa League clash, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was set to return to the Old Trafford stadium but this time he will be playing against the Red Devils.
Manchester United have been drawn against AC Milan and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side will the first leg which is set for Old Trafford stadium in England.
The former PSG star was taken off during Milan's Serie A victory over Roma on Sunday night.
AC Milan recorded a 2-0 win over Roma as they the Rossoneri close the gap between them and rival Inter Milan.
Following the injury, the 39-year-old will miss the Rossoneri's next four games - including their Europa League visit to Old Trafford on March 11.
If you recall that Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United in 2016 as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain. He guided United to the FA Community Shield, Football League Cup and UEFA Europa League in his first season.
Ibrahimović joined American club LA Galaxy in 2018. Meanwhile, two years later, he returned to Serie A for a second spell with A.C. Milan.
