It wasn't until the 65th minute that Richarlison broke the deadlock when he headed Sigurdsson's cross past Johnstone from close range. Diagne thought he'd equalised for West Brom in stoppage time with a brilliant finish into the top corner, but it was disallowed for offside.
That win moves Everton up into fourth for now, with Liverpool and Chelsea due to kick off soon. They are now unbeaten in nine on the road in the Premier League and will look to continue that at Chelsea on Monday. West Brom are still nine points from safety, and it's a big game for them next time out as they face struggling Newcastle United.
