Nigerian striker Simy Nwankwo scored twice as his side, Crotone suffered a 3-2 loss against Lazio in Friday’s Serie A game at Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio got an early start from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic found the back of the net in the 13th minutes.
Simy then levelled proceedings for Serse Cosmi’s men in the 29th minute, firing a long-range effort from outside the box.
Luis Alberto gave Simone Inzaghi’s men the lead after receiving a timely assist from Ciro Immobile ten minutes later.
But Crotone were handed a chance to equalize when they were awarded a penalty after Mohamed Fares brought down Junior Messias in the box and Simy swiftly dispatched his effort into the back of the net to complete his brace in the encounter.
The three points was sealed for the home side after Caicedo netted the winner in the 83rd minutes
