"Senior Man Kelz": Kelechi Iheanacho pens new Leicester City until 2024

It's been a wonderful past weeks for Kelechi Iheanacho who has been the man in the spotlight for Leicester City. 

The Nigerian international has been finding the back of the net in recent games to keep the Foxes in a comfortable position in the league. 

Brendan Rogers side are currently sitting in third position in the Premier League table as they hope to seal their spot in the UEFA Champions League next season. 

Iheanacho was voted the Premier League player of the month of March following his outstanding performance for Leicester City last month. 

The 24-year-old scored seven goals in his last four appearances for Leicester City last month. 

It's been gathered that  Kelechi Iheanacho has been rewarded with a new deal at the King Power Stadium. 

The Super Eagles forward has signed a new deal. It's understood that the new deal will keep him at King Power Stadium until at 2024.

If you recall that Kelechi Iheanacho joined Leicester in 2017 from Manchester City. 

Iheanacho has so far made 117 appearances for Leicester scoring 32 goals.

Iheanacho told LCFC.com: “I can’t express how I’m feeling. I’m excited, I’m happy, I’m overwhelmed! It’s a great moment and I’m happy that Leicester City gave me a new contract.

“It’s been a great time here. It’s not been easy, but there’s a lot of people here that are good people, great people to work with. They are nice people and they make me feel comfortable and welcome since I came in.

“It’s been really great being here. It’s like a family. I’m happy being here and hopefully I can stay here many more years.”
