Arsenal lost 3-0 at Emirates stadium against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Gunners fell apart in the second half after they conceded three goals after the hour mark.


Diogo Jota seems to have picked up hos form from where he left off before he got injured few months ago. The Portuguese international scored a brace as he came off the bench.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah who has a good goal scoring record against Arsenal added a goal with a tidy finish in between Bernd Leno legs.

Despite losing all the points, Mikel Arteta also lost Kieran Tierney to injury. The Scotland international was substituted and replaced by Cedric Soares.

After the game, Mikel Arteta provided update on injury state of Tierney. 


The manager admitted he isn't sure for how long the full back will be out of action. 



Arteta said: "He (Tierney) felt something in his knee. He was in pain so it looks like he will be injured but we don't know how long for." 

Meanwhile, Arsenal missed Bukayo Saka, Smith-Rowe, Granit Xhaka and David Luiz in the game against Liverpool. 

For Saka, he's just recovering from an hamstring he sustained while in England's camp during the international break. While Emile Smith-Rowe picked up an injury while he was representing England U-21's. 

Granit Xhaka return to England and he was feeling unwell which saw miss the training on Friday. 

David Luiz is currently struggling with a knee injury, and Arteta isn't sure if the defender will require a surgery but admitted Luiz will be out for weeks

Arteta said: "We don't know. There a few possibilities on that, being a little more conservative with the treatment or having to go for a surgery. We are talking with the doctors at the moment to make the right decision on that but we'll see. He (Luiz) could be out for a few weeks at least."

On whether David Luiz could play again this season, Arteta added:
" I don't know. It will depend what the decision we take is. If it's more conservative, it will be short-term. If it's a bit more radical with what he needs, it will take longer."

Arsenal will return to action on Thursday night when they host Slavia Praha in the quarter-final of the Europa League.
