Following a first half goalless result, Newcastle goalkeeper Dubravka gave away a penalty, after fouling sub Robin Quaison in the box. Forsberg scored the penalty in the 77th minutes.
Sweden's four points should be enough to guarantee them a spot in the last 16, while Slovakia who have three points, will need a positive result ahead of their final Group E clash against Spain.
