Ex Barcelona and AC Milan star Kevin Boateng return to his boyhood club, Hertha Berlin to join his 16th club

Kevin Boateng has completed the deal to join Hertha Berlin. The forward has returned to his boyhood club after nearly a decade.

The former Ghanaian international Boateng came through the youth set-up at Hertha before breaking through into the first team in 2005.


He left in 2007 to join Tottenham Hotspur where he played two seasons before he moved to Dortmund on loan and permanently joined Portsmouth. 


Boateng also played for likes of AC Milan, Schalke, Barcelona Sassuolo, Frankfurt Fiorentina. 

Boateng, 34, unveiled the news at the same time as Hertha's official Twitter account on Wednesday.

Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the transfer by adding: "Done deal. Former Barcelona striker Kevin Prince Boateng joins Hertha Berlin and he’s back in Bundesliga, official statement confirms."
