Memphis Depay describes his move to Barcelona as a "dream"

Memphis Depay has finally completed the deal with Barcelona on a free transfer from Lyon. The Dutch international has signed two years deal with La Liga outfit.

He reportedly signed a contract which is expected to run until 2022/2023 season. 

Memphis had a spectacular 2020-2021 season with Lyon after he guided them to finish in third place in the Ligue 1 table. 

He was linked to several clubs in Europe including a move back to his boyhood club, PSV in Eredivisie. But he decided to join Barcelona because he wanted to play under Ronald Koeman who once managed him as coach of Netherlands. 

Memphis who is currently representing Netherlands in the ongoing 2020 European championship has expressed his excitement upon completing the transfer.

The former PSV and Manchester United star described the move as a "dream move" while tagging his lion emoji. 

He tweeted: "Dream big kid. Dream big.

Super excited to join my new club! @fcbarcelona" 

In response, Barcelona also posted a snap of Memphis Depay huge tattoo of a lion at his back.
