Breaking: Italy have defeated England in the final of Euro 2020

Italy Have been crowned Champions of the European Championship. The Azzurri needed to come from behind to drag the came into extra time and then won it by penalties 3-2.

Luke Shaw struck with a left foot volley in the 2nd minutes of the game, the Manchester United star connected to floated cross from Trippier.

But Roberto Mancini side equalised when Bonucci in the 66th minutes.

Belotti was the first Italian to miss but spot kick before Jorginho missed his for the Azzurri. Meanwhile Gareth Southgate made three substitutes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka who all missed their spot kicks. 

Italy win their second European Championships, their first since 1968, after finishing as runners-up in their previous two finals. This result also extends their unbeaten run to 34 matches in all competitions.
