Thousands of Roma fans welcome Jose Mourinho following his arrival (Photos)

Thousands of footballs fans were spotted in the capital of Rome to welcome the arrival of former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho.

Recall that Roma appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager after he was sacked as coach of Tottenham Hotspur back in May 17.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy sacked the former Manchester United and Real Madrid boss few days to their League Cup final against Manchester City. 

Tottenham appointed their youth team manager Ryan Mason as caretaker until the end of the season. They lost 1-0 to  Manchester City in the final and finished the season in seventh position in the Premier League. 

During this week, Tottenham have finally confirmed former Wolverhampton coach Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager. 

AS Roma new head coach Jose Mourinho was snapped saluting the fans waiting outside Rome's Ciampino airport upon his arrival in Rome Friday, July 2, 2021. 

Mourinho will take over next season at Roma, its he's second spell in Italy after his historic treble winning season with Inter Milan years ago.
