Former Super Eagles captain took to his social media space to share some throwback memories of the 1996 Olympics. 

Kanu Nwankwo Kanu is a retired Nigerian footballer who was born 1 August 1976 (age 45 years), in the city of Owerri, Imo state. The forward is one of the most "decorated" Nigerian footballer. 

Kanu Nwankwo Kanu played for Nigerian club Iwuanyanwu Nationale before he moved to Europe in 1993 to join Dutch side Ajax. The forward also played for other European clubs such as, Inter Milan, Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth. 

On Thursday (August 5th 2021), the former Arsenal star took to his verified Instagram page (@kingkanu4) to upload some amazing photos of Nigeria's triumph at the Olympics 1996.
Recall that Nigeria clinched gold medal in the men's football competition at the Olympics in Atlanta. Kanu scored the winning goal in the 4–3 semi-final win over Brazil. 

The two time African Player of the Year winner captioned the post: "KAN U believe it? Olympic #throwback 1996 #goldwinner Whatever you do, do with all your heart to the best of your ability."
Kanu Nwankwo Kanu played for Nigeria national team between 1994–2011 with a record of 86 caps and 12 goals.
