Roma took the lead just six minutes to break through, as Stephan El Shaarawy sprung the offside trap on an Ebrima Darboe slide-rule pass and dribbled around the goalkeeper to deposit into an empty net.
The away side looked in control of the game, they added the second in the 66th minutes. Chris Smalling nodded in a corner from a couple of yards to make it 2-0.
Moments later, Abraham finished it off calmly to seal the win for the Serie A side.
