The Foxes took an early lead after a mix-up in the visitors' defence allowed Maddison to fire his team in front. The Hornets were back level though in the 30th minute as Dennis won a penalty before King made no mistake from the spot.
Watford being level only lasted four minutes as Maddison played in Vardy, who sent a lovely dink over Bachmann to restore his side's advantage.
Maddison and Vardy combined again to make it 3-1 before the break, with the former sending a corner over allowing the veteran striker to flick a header into the far corner.
In the second half, Dennis dispossessed Castagne before chipping a lovely finish over the onrushing Schmeichel. The two goal advantage was quickly restored though, as Barnes crossed to Lookman to finish to seal a big three points for the Foxes as they end a run of two straight Premier League home Defeats.
