Barcelona beat Real Madrid, Man United, Liverpool and others to top list of most-tweeted-about sports teams in 2019

Twitter has revealed that the Spanish champions, Barcelona were the most tweeted about sports team in the world in 2019. 

Barca pipped their arch-rival Real Madrid and Premiership clubs, Manchester United, and Liverpool, to scoop the top spot.

The only non-football team to make it into the top 10 are NBA side the Los Angeles Lakers, who signed superstar LeBron James in 2018.
