Galatasaray terminates Onyekuru loan contract, see details

Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray could terminate their loan deal with Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru.


Onyekuru completed a move from French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in a six months deal worth €650,000.

The Nigerian fell sick of malaria and was hospitalized at the Liv Hospital in Istanbul and ruled out of the Yellow-Red team camping in Antalya.



Onyekuru who had passed a medical before joining Galatasaray was said to have got infected with the malaria parasite after been bitten by an  Anopheles mosquitoe while spending the yelutide break in Nigeria.


Onyekuru developed flu and common cold and was given medication by club doctors. But further test at Liv Hospital confirmed malaria parasite positive.

Our source, TurkishFootballNews informed, Galatasaray considers to terminate loan contract with #HenryOnyekuru who will not be able 2-3 weeks due of malaria sickness.



Recall the 22-year-old helped the Istanbul side to win the Turkish Super Lig in 2018, scoring 14 goals and provided 31 assists in 31 Super League matches.
