One Year After Death, Cardiff Pay Tribute To Sala

Today marks a year since Emiliano Sala died In a plane crash.
Earlier today, Cardiff management, players and supporters paid tribute on the first anniversary of the striker's death.


Recall that the Argentinian forward died on January 21, 2019 when the plane carrying him from Nantes in France to his new club Cardiff crashed in the English Channel near Guernsey.

It was reported that the footballer's body was recovered from the wreckage, but pilot David Ibbotson, from Crowle, North Lincolnshire, has still not been found.



Cardiff manager Neil Harris, captain Sean Morrison and Sol Bamba were among those to attend a dedication service to Sala.

The memorial went down at St David's Cathedral in Cardiff city centre on Tuesday afternoon.

Sala who broke into limelight joined Nantes on a permanent basis in 2015.

 He made more than 100 appearances in Ligue 1, before a move to Cardiff City in January 2019, for a club record fee of £15 million (€18 million).
