Lille In Serious Trouble As Nigerian Forward Picks Up Injury Despite Scoring Against Angers

This isn't a good news for Nigeria and Lille.

Nigerian and Lille forward Victor Osimhen was stretched off last night.

Victor Osimhen was on target in his side's 2-0 win over Angers in a Ligue 1 game staged at Stade Raymond Kopa on Friday night.

According to reports gathered, Super Eagles striker was stretchered off the pitch in the 78th minute and the initial prognosis indicates that he suffered a muscle injury.

Former Bayern Munich winger Renato Sanches scored the second to seal the comfortable win after he finished the goal keeper in the 75th minutes.

Recall that Osimhen has been in stunning form so far this campaign, scoring 12th league goal, and his 18th in all competitions.

He has three assists to his name as Lille hope to seal a spot in the UEFA Champions League.

There are suggestions that Paris Saint German is expected to win the Ligue 1 , but Osimhen side hoping to seal second o third spot.

Following his injury last night, he will undergo test to determine the severity of his injury.

Lille set to travel to visit Marseille next Sunday and Osimhen risks missing the game.
