Villarreal have been crowned Champions of the Europa League following their 2-1 win over Manchester United in a penalty shoot out.

It finished 1-1 at the end of 120 minutes after Edinson Cavani equalised in the second half to cancel Gerard Moreno opening goal.

Villarreal goalkeeper was match winner, Geronimo Rulli would prove the hero during a pulsating shootout, first converting his own penalty before keeping out De Gea's effort as Unai Emery clinched a fourth Europa League title.
