Nuno Espirito Santo side defeated Steve Bruce 3-2 at the St James Park on Sunday. Callum Wilson had given Newcastle the lead early in the game but Tanguay Ndombele, Kane and Son made it a comfortable for Spurs at half-time.
The game was paused for a while after Sergio Reguilon called on the referee to stop the game because a fan reportedly collapsed.
The fan was stabilized after few minutes and was taken to a hospital. The players came back into the pitch to player extra seven minutes before the half-time.
Speaking after the game, Sergio Reguilon said: “The fans say: ‘Stop, stop!’… I saw the fan lying down, and one man [giving him CPR], I was very nervous. I went to the referee and said we cannot play, stop the match”.
However, Dier put the ball into the back of his own net to make it 3-2.
The former Real Madrid star took to his social media space to send message to the fan.
He tweeted: "Football is not the most important. Get well soon"
