Real Madrid secured their first silverware ahead of the new season after they lifted the UEFA Super Cup.
The Los Blancos recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday night.
It was David Alaba who scored the opening goal for Real Madrid before Karim Benzema made it two goals to nil in the second half.
Meanwhile Abike Kafayat Oluwatoyin Dabiri-Erewa who was former member of the Nigeria Federal House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Constituency in Lagos State, has taken to her social media space to heap praise on the former Bayern Munich star.
The 59 years old politician shared image of David Alaba kissing the UEFA Super Cup on her Twitter timeline.
Her caption reads: "David Alaba made us all proud yesterday by winning the European Super cup with his new club Real Madrid. He scored the first goal of the match."
David Alaba is a professional footballer who plays as Defender for Spanish side Real Madrid and Austria national team.
Just so you know, Alaba father is a Nigerian while his mother is a nationality of Austria.
Abike Dabiri added that the Real Madrid star is currently working on philanthropic project in Nigeria.
She added: "David is currently embarking on a philanthropic project in Nigeria to be launched soon"
