Real Madrid's experienced full-back, Dani Carvajal, has confirmed that he has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and will be undergoing surgery. The 32-year-old defender shared the news via his social media, expressing his determination to bounce back stronger.

In his post, Carvajal stated, "Serious cruciate ligament injury. I’m gonna have surgery and already looking forward to starting recovery and coming back like a BEAST. Thank you all so much for your messages, I feel very loved."

The injury occurred during Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Villarreal on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Carvajal had to be stretchered off the field in tears after a collision with Villarreal's Yeremy Pino during stoppage time.

In the match, Real Madrid secured a 2-0 win at the Santiago Bernabéu. Federico Valverde opened the scoring in the 13th minute, and Vinícius Júnior added another goal in the 72nd minute. This victory was important for Real Madrid as they continue their strong campaign in LaLiga.

Looking ahead, Real Madrid's next fixture is an away game against RC Celta de Vigo on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Despite the loss of Carvajal, the team aims to maintain their momentum in the upcoming matches. Carvajal's absence is undoubtedly a significant setback, but both the team and fans remain hopeful for his swift recovery and return to action.
