Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that Declan Rice missed the team's UEFA Champions League match against Inter Milan on November 6, 2024, due to an injury sustained in the previous game against Newcastle. 
Arteta explained, "Declan unfortunately picked up an injury against Newcastle. He was able to finish the game but hasn’t been feeling well over the past few days." He further added, "We’ll assess him on Thursday and see if he’s ready for Chelsea."
In the match against Inter Milan, Arsenal were narrowly defeated 1-0. The only goal came from Hakan Calhanoglu, who scored from the penalty spot during first-half stoppage time at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Arsenal’s next challenge will be a Premier League fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, November 10, 2024, with a 17:30 kick-off.
