Kieran Tierney is in discussions to rejoin Celtic from Arsenal, with negotiations between the clubs actively underway.
The 27-year-old left-back, whose contract with Arsenal expires this summer, has expressed a strong desire to return to his boyhood club.
Tierney transferred to Arsenal in 2019 for £25 million but has faced injury challenges during his tenure. In the 2023–2024 season, he was loaned to Real Sociedad, where fitness issues persisted.
With Arsenal opting not to extend his contract, Tierney is now eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs. Celtic, under manager Brendan Rodgers, is leading the pursuit to bring him back, considering both loan options and permanent deals. The player's substantial weekly wage presents a potential hurdle, but both parties are keen to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Tierney's return would address Celtic's need for reinforcements at left-back, especially with uncertainties surrounding current players in that position. His homecoming would also resonate with fans, given his deep-rooted connection to the club and previous contributions to their domestic successes.
