Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has completed a loan move to AC Milan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The agreement includes a non-mandatory option for AC Milan to purchase Walker permanently at the end of the loan period. The Italian club will cover the majority of Walker's £150,000 weekly wages during this tenure.

Walker, 34, has been a pivotal figure at Manchester City, contributing to the club's success with six Premier League titles and a Champions League victory. Despite interest from Inter Milan and clubs in Saudi Arabia, Walker opted for AC Milan to continue competing at the highest level in Europe and to bolster his prospects with the England national team under manager Thomas Tuchel.

Upon his arrival at Milan Linate Airport, Walker was greeted by fans eager to welcome the seasoned right-back. He expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating his excitement to don the iconic AC Milan jersey.

This transfer aligns with AC Milan's strategy of integrating experienced players into their squad, a practice that has previously yielded positive results. Walker's speed and leadership are anticipated to be valuable assets as the club addresses its current right-back challenges.

The loan agreement includes an option for AC Milan to make the transfer permanent for a fee of €5 million, though this clause is not obligatory. Should AC Milan choose to exercise this option, Walker would sign a contract extending until June 2027.

Walker's departure from Manchester City comes as the club has been active in the January transfer window, securing signings such as Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis, and Abdukodir Khusanov to strengthen their squad.
