In a video shared on social media, Imeah, with a visibly swollen eye and reading from a prepared statement, explained her perspective on the incident. "I've looked inward and found that the pain of disrespecting and working against my husband's order was what led to what he did to me. He has never done anything like this since we got married. After the incident, he has taken me to Central Government Hospital in Warri for proper medical checkup and treatment. My sight is perfectly in order," she said.
She went on to express gratitude to those concerned about her well-being but stressed her contentment in her marriage. "I don't regret marrying my husband. He never wanted to harm me, and I also don't want any harm to come to him because of this issue," she stated.
Imeah also made an appeal to the public, urging them to refrain from interfering in her family matters. "I order that no one, organizations, bloggers, or individuals should harm or stress my lovely husband on this issue. I will always stand by him forever and see God's purpose for our family. There is no perfection anywhere. We all make mistakes," she declared.
Concluding her statement, Imeah reassured everyone of her well-being and asked for an end to public scrutiny. "Please stop. I am at peace with my husband. As you can see, my eyes are getting better. I don't need any harm to my husband because of this issue," she emphasized.
