Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice revealed the heartfelt reason behind his goal celebration during the Gunners’ 2–0 victory over Burnley on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Rice, who scored Arsenal’s second goal of the match, dedicated the moment to his late aunt, who passed away shortly before the club’s fixture against Fulham.
Speaking after the match, Rice shared: “My auntie passed away before the Fulham game. I loved her to death. She travelled everywhere to watch me with my mum. I know she is watching down, so that was for her today.”

The Premier League clash at Turf Moor saw Arsenal continue their impressive run of form, securing their fifth consecutive league win and extending their unbeaten streak to nine matches in all competitions. The visitors opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Viktor Gyökeres, who headed home from close range following a well-worked corner routine. Rice doubled the lead in the 35th minute with a powerful header, capping off a slick counter-attack.

Arsenal dominated possession and looked dangerous from set pieces throughout the first half, while Burnley struggled to create clear chances. The Gunners’ defensive solidity ensured a clean sheet, keeping them firmly at the top of the Premier League table.
