Arsenal are to change from Puma to adidas as their new kit sponsor from 2019.
The deal with Puma has been worth £30million a year over five years. It runs out next year — and Arsenal will double their money by switching to adidas. The new arrangement will bring in £60m a season over five years.
That cash injection will boost the transfer kitty of manager Unai Emery next summer.
He has been forced to work on a limited £70m budget since he took over from Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal are working on sorting out the future of midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The 27-year-old’s contract runs out at the end of the season and the midfielder could leave on a free transfer next June.
Chelsea are keen to sign Ramsey and would pay £30m for the Wales international.
Arsenal could cash in as they did with Robin van Persie. In 2012, Van Persie turned down a new deal and was sold to Manchester United for £22.5m.
