Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said he regretted not signing Argentina star Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
Higuain had a great time under Sarri’s management at Napoli and was touted to be at the Stamford Bridge this summer but was later signed for AC Milan on loan.
Asked about Chelsea’s summer signings, he told Sky Sports, “Higuain? It’s a little regret but in the end, everyone after the market has a few little egrets.”
Sarri added, “Fundamentally, the club was very open, we signed a great goalkeeper to replace another great one.
“I thought it right not to hold Courtois against his will, we got someone young like Mateo Kovacic who is ready to explode and also Jorginho.”
