Good news As Arteta reveals 2 players who are fit to face Portsmouth

Arsenal were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday night following a 2-1 loss to Olympiakos.


Mikel Arteta and the players have expressed their sadness from the result, although the manager has backed his players.

The Gunners will return to action on Monday with a FA CUP fifth round against Portsmouth.

Arsenal are expected to face Manchester City on Sunday, but the game has been postponed due to City final league cup against Aston Villa on Sunday .


Recall that Arteta who once won the FA CUP as Gunners captain under Arsene Wenger.

The manager has hinted that Midran Tierney and Pablo Mari could start the game.

Tierney has returned to training since he suffered a shoulder fracture against West Ham last year.

While Mari is yet to feature for Arsenal since he moved on loan from Flamengo in Brazil.

Yes, I think he need minutes, like Rob did, like Ainsley and like Reiss as well. I think it was a good game for them to get their fitness levels tested as well and they trained today really well. They are all, I think, ready to play.
