Khushboo Kanwar, a young bride from Araba Dudawata village in Rajasthan’s Balotra district, was among the victims of the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash near Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025.
Married in January to Dr. Vipul Singh Rajpurohit—a UK based doctor—Khushboo was travelling alone to London to reunite with her husband for the first time since their wedding .
Her journey began with a heartfelt farewell: her father, Madan Singh Rajpurohit, and relatives saw her off at Ahmedabad airport. A tearful moment between Khushboo and her family was captured in a viral video depicting the emotional send‑off moments before boarding .
What should have been the start of a promising new chapter transformed into an unimaginable loss. The crash, occurring just seconds after take‑off, claimed 241 lives aboard and at least 28 on the ground, leaving only a single survivor. Khushboo’s village and her in‑laws’ community in Luni are now immersed in collective grief, mourning the bright young woman lost before beginning her life abroad .
