Katy Perry, 35, shared that she has escaped to her car for a 'cry' on occasion while coping with lockdown while pregnant.

When speaking to Roman Kemp on his Capital Radio breakfast show on Saturday, Katy also shared details on how it is 'all about spice' when it comes to cravings.

She is expecting her first child, a daughter, later this year with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

When asked if she has been crying over her 'swollen feet,' The Never Worn White singer replied: 'Yeah well my feet haven't gotten swollen yet but I cry, yes. I have put myself in my parked car outside my house many times and locked the doors.'

To which Roman replied: 'What, you just sit in the locked car?'

Katy hilariously retorted: Yeah I do because I need my space, Roman.'

The I'm A Celeb star then replied: 'Awww, I just like the idea of Orlando Bloom opening the curtain going 'oh she's looking at her feet again, she needs her space'.'

For Katy, one big struggle is coping with pregnancy throughout the pandemic and the restrictions it has brought.

She told the radio hosts: 'Everyone talks about cravings when you're pregnant and for me, I think about cravings but I also think about 'do I want to risk my life getting that craving' so it's all like really intense thoughts that are supposed to be light and bright and you're like 'aaarrggh!'

You know, there's so many levels of uncertainty and it's really a one day at a time type of thing.'

However, when asked if she has had any weird cravings, the Roar singer shared that she has a newfound passion for spice.

Katy said: 'Well, in the very beginning it was like 'give me Indian food or get out of the way'. I have never wanted more spice than I do want in my life now. So it's all about spice, how hot can my mouth get.'

Her confessions come after she opened up about her mental health on Twitter recently.

The star shared: 'Sometimes I don't know what's worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm.'
