2020 Marc-Vivien Award: Osimhen Dedicates Award To His Late Dad

Lille striker Victor Osimhen has been named winner of the 2020 Marc-Vivien Foe prize.


The Super Eagles forward has taken to his social media platform to send his appreciation to fans .

Victor Osimhen has also decided the award to his late daddy who passed away last month.

The Super Eagles forward saw off competition from compatriot Simon Moses (Nantes), Saint-Etienne’s Denis Bouanga, Montpellier’s Andy Delort, Monaco’s Islam Slimani plus Rennes’ trio of Mbaye Niang, Hamari Traore and Edouard Mendy.

Victor Osimhen has been in stunning form for French Ligue 1 side since he arrived from Charleroi in the summer of 2019.

He guided Lille to a fourth place finish with 49 points before the season was cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic.


He shared on his Twitter page:

"Grateful to GOD for almighty🙏🏽🙏🏽I dedicate this amazing award to my late father❤️thanks to those who voted for me and also a big shoutout goes to @Simon27Moses and the rest of the nominees...thank you once more🙏🏽"
