The injury has started growing for Liverpool and their title defense might not be as smooth as last season.

Liverpool have only recorded one loss in the league and it came against Aston Villa away from home. Jurgen Klopp side have also played a draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby.

The Reds will face West Ham this weekend. Liverpool are expected to be without Fabinho.

The Brazilian has been playing centre-back since Virgil van Dijk was injured in the Merseyside derby weeks ago.

But it appears Jurgen Klopp will be without the midfielder as he plan to face David Moyes side.

The Brazil international limped off in the first half of the Reds’ Champions League win against Midtjylland on Tuesday and was replaced by 19-year-old Rhys Williams.

“Fab is not in, that's clear,” he told reporters. “He got a little injury and so he will be out for the weekend and probably slightly longer. That’s one thing, but all the others who are fit will be in contention, either on the pitch or on the bench and coming on.”

Meanwhile, defender, Matip is also out of the game. Thiago Alcantara continues to race to be fit for the game.

Earlier today, the club confirmed that Virgil Van Dijk had a successful surgery and will be without for eight to ten months.
