Manchester United began their UEFA Champions League 2020-2021 campaign on a winning after they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the Parc Des Princes on Tuesday night.
Bruno Fernandes had given the Red Devils the lead from the penalty spot. But Anthony Martial headed Neymar corner kick into his own goal in the second half.

With 90 minutes approaching, Marcus Rashford scored the winner as Manchester United picked up their first three points on matchday 1.

It's understood that Manchester United are riding on a good path after they came from a goal down to beat Newcastle 4-1 last weekend in the league.

But Manchester United fans have been raising questions over the absence of Mason Greenwood.

It's been gathered that Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly missed the game due to injuries.

But fans yet to understand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reason for leaving out Mason Greenwood in the team.

Greenwood has been in training all week, but Goal reports that the English youngster was being punished for being late to training.

Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has denied claims that Mason Greenwood has been dropped as form of punishment for being late to training.

Just so you know, the teenager has missed the last two games against Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain for Manchester United.

"He made a mistake with England this summer and suddenly all the English press go after him, and that’s something we have to go after," the United boss told reporters.

"He’s a fantastic boy to work with and I have to disappoint you, he's never, ever late for training and he’s never a problem when he’s at the training ground."

This weekend, Manchester United will play against Chelsea in the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has slammed reports stating that Greenwood has been training all week and added he doesn't have any problem with the forward.

He said: "I’ve seen the stories and some ex-United players talking about him but they don't really know what they're talking about. We have photographers outside the training ground every day and they can see he’s on time every day.

"I don’t know where these stories have come from. He's got a good family behind him, a good background in the academy and he's a good trainer, he trains really well.

"I cannot believe all these stories about him not being professional, that's something we have to deal with with many players. Many other players at United have had that."
