Chelsea have enjoyed some good run of form recently, winning games and also keeping clean sheet.

It looks like all Frank Lampard signings in the summer are starting to find the feet and having a good understanding of the Premier League.

Chelsea were among the clubs in Europe that splash the clash in the summer window. The English manager seems to have gotten his starting XI for the season.

The winning streak continued for the Stamford Bridge outfit as they defeated a resilient Newcastle side over the weekend.

The Blues opened the Premier match day 9 with an away trip to St James stadium to face Steve Bruce side.

Chelsea ended up winning the game 2-0 at the end of 90 minutes with each goals coming in each half of the game.

After the game, Chelsea boss revealed that his new signing Kai Havertz has returned to training.

The former Derby County boss said that Kai Havertz will be in contention to face Rennes on Tuesday.

If you recall that Havertz who joined from Bayern Leverkusen in the summer had missed two weeks with the coronavirus.

The 21-year-old got a positive test for Covid-19 shortly before the last Champions League clash with the Rennes weeks ago.

It's been gathered that he has now joined the rest of his team mates, as they set to make the trip to France to Rennes  at Roazhon Park.

"I hope he is available. He’s been in for two, three days training doing some individual work and he looks pretty good," Lampard said of Havertz after his side's 2-0 win away at Newcastle on Saturday.

"Kai is a naturally fit boy. I hope to have him travelling with us to Rennes on Tuesday. Maybe get some minutes. I’m not sure how many because it was two-week isolation but he looks in good shape."
