The Gunners have been on a three games winning streak in the Premier League. If you recall that over the weekend, Mikel Arteta side qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Arsenal needed to wait until 120 minutes to secure a 2-0 win over Steve side, goals from Emile Smith-Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed the north London side the victory.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are back in the Premier League this mid week, it's a home game against Crystal Palace.

The game is expected to kick off at 9pm GMT at the Emirates stadium.

Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta has hinted that the Gunners might welcome back two players into the squad.
Gabriel Magalhães is expected to join the rest of his team mate, this comes after the Brazilian recovered from Covid-19. He has been out of action since December 26th, boxing day.

Also, Thomas Partey has reportedly recovered from a thigh injury he suffered on December 5. Mikel Arteta has stated that the midfielder has resumed training and he's in contention to face their London rival on Thursday.
On Gabriel, Arteta said:
"Well, Gabriel had a training session the other day. He tested positive and had very mild symptoms, so he's missed a few weeks of training because he had to be isolated. It's better now and we expect him to be training with us in the next couple of days and then make an assessment on whether we can have him or not on Thursday. "

On Thomas Partey, Arteta said:
" Thomas has been in full training for the last four or five days, he's completely asymptomatic. It would be a little bit rushed to try and play him against Newcastle but I think he will be ready for Thursday."

Mikel Arteta also give update on injured Gabriel Martinelli. The 19 years old Brazilian injured his ankle during warm up ahead of Newcastle game.

He was eventually replaced by Reiss Nelson, but the manager said that the forward is expected to undergo a scan to determine the extend of the injury.

Although, Arteta remain hopeful that the injury isn't serious.
On Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal's manager said:
"We don't know how bad he is. He's getting a scan this morning. We didn't look after the game because he was in a lot of pain but yesterday he tested it a little bit better, so let's hope. We have a scan today so let's hope it's not as serious and we can have Gabi back really soon. We will know more tomorrow, certainly."
