The news of the death of the Super Eagles of Nigeria star filtered through on the internet following a post on his social media platform.
32 years old John Ogu has reportedly lost his dear mother in cold hands of death. The midfielder while breaking the news on his Twitter timeline revealed it was one of his worse days of his life.
Sharing a picture of himself posing beside his mom he added with a broken heart emoji just to further express his sad mood.
The footballer captioned: "Worse day of my life."
Meanwhile, the football Federation of Nigeria, NFF have also paid they tribute with a post on the verified handle.
NFF wrote: "Our thoughts and prayers are with @NGSuperEagles midfielder @ogujohnugo following the passing of his Mom. May her gentle soul rest In peace."
Just so you know, John Ogu broke into the national team of Nigeria in 2013 following his incredible exploit in Isreal with
Hapoel Be'er Sheva where he played
151 games, scoring 13 times from 2014 - 2019.
John Ogu, 32, currently plays for Al-Adalah, a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Al-Hulaylah. He has made 7 appearances so far.
