Thomas Partey update ahead of Arsenal's clash against Man U

Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash this weekend. There were fears that Thomas Partey could be out of action after he waa forced off on Tuesday night against Southampton.


The Gunners thrashed Southampton at the St Mary's after Nicolas Pepe equalised from Armstrong goal before Bukayo Saka and Alexander Lacazette made it three goals to one. 

During the late stages of the game, Partey limped off and he was replaced by Mohamed Elneny. 

Speaking ahead of weekend game against Manchester United, Mikel Arteta admitted he was unsure whether Partey would be fit for the game. 

He also revealed Emile Smith Rowe, who picked up a knock against Southampton, would be fit to play Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

“I don’t know,” said Arteta. “They had some discomforts in different parts, Thomas and Emile, and we will have to see how they evolve. We still have some days until the game but not long so let’s see how they recover.”
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta gave an update on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gunners captain has missed two games as he was excused due due to personal issues. 

There are reports that Aubameyang traveled home due to his mother whose ill and although she is now improving. 

It's unsure if Aubameyang will be able to play against Red Devils due to quarantine. 

Arteta said: “He had to support his family and he had to be with them. I don’t know what will happen.”
