Lionel Messi arrives Camp Nou to cast his vote during Barcelona election

Today happens to be a special day to all Barcelona fans all over the world. It's been learnt that the election for a new president for the club is ongoing. 
According to reports, the election is currently on going at the club's home ground, Camp Nou. 

Despite the ongoing lockdown down caused by the coronavirus, fans are not allowed into the stadium but they have opportunity to cast their votes online. 

Meanwhile, Barcelona coaches, players and other members of staff have arrived Camp Nou to cast their votes. 
Barcelona captain and talisman Lionel Messi happens to be first player to cast his vote. The Argentine international arrived the venue with his son. 
Messi looked happy and excited as he approached the ballot box with his son, while he dropped his voting card with a smile on his face. 

Barcelona posted the moment on its verified social media handle with the caption: "The captain of the first team, Leo Messi, exercises his right to vote at the Camp Nou 🔥"
Just so you know, the three candidates in the run for the post of President include:

Joan Laporta, Antoni Freixa and Victor Font. 


Elsewhere, Barcelona recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Osasuna away from home on Saturday. Lionel provided the assist as the Catalan side moved closer to the leaders Atletico Madrid.

It's been a great turn around of result for Ronald Koeman side, they have qualified for the final of the Copa del Rey as they face Athletic Bilbao. 

Also, they have a huge four goals deficit to overcome against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 clash in UEFA Champions League.
