Aubameyang, Lacazette And Tierney In Contention To Face Villarreal - Arteta

Arsenal have been boosted with the return of trio of Alexandre Lacazette, Kieran Tierney and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of their game against Villarreal on Thursday night.
The gunner will host the Yellow Submarine at the Emirates stadium in the first leg of the semi final clash.

It's the first time that Unai Emery will face his former club, Arsenal where he was sacked last year November.

For Mikel Arteta, the injury of these three players comes as a relief haven been short of options in the attack.

Gunners lost 1-0 against Everton last week, which saw them slip down one spot to tenth position after Leeds United played a draw against Manchester United.

While speaking during his press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Arteta revealed: "They (Lacazette, Aubameyang and Tierney) are all in contention. All of them. Including Aubameyang, Laca and Kieran. They are all in contention for the game. Yes [it is good news]."

The manager added that he didn't expect to see Tierney play again this season after he suffered knee ligament damage against Liverpool on April 3, but the Scottish international is back.

On Tierney's fitness, Arteta said: "He didn't need the surgery that we were afraid of at the beginning and then he's been working like a beast every single day. I don't know if he's going to make it tomorrow but he certainly wants to be as close as possible to that football pitch to give himself the best possible chance."

Also, Aubameyang who has been sidelined for the last two weeks due to Malaria and Lacazette who injured his hamstring in the draw against Fulham two weeks ago is also in contention for the game.
