Arsenal fell to a 3-0 defeat on Saturday in the late Premier League kick off at the Emirates stadium.

The Gunners didn't look convincing in every moment in the game as Jurgen Klopp side looked hungry for the three points.

Prior to the game, Liverpool were placed in seventh position and were three points ahead of the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta's 50th Premier League fixture in charge of Arsenal ended in a loss as Diogo Jota came off the bench to inspire the win.
After the game, Mikel Arteta apologised to his fans as he admitted he set up the team in a wrong way. Mikel Arteta added that Liverpool deserved the victory given their performance.

Arteta told Sky Sports: "We completely deserved to lose the game. They were better in every department and deserved to win the game with the margin they had, or even more. I accept responsibility for the way we played today.Liverpool completely deserved to win the game, probably by a bigger margin. We were extremely poor. We apologise."
Liverpool went ahead in the second half when Trent Alexander-Arnold cross was connected with the head of Jota.

The Reds added the second goal when he slotted the ball in between the legs of Bernd Leno.

Mikel Arteta added that Liverpool made the right decisions in every department of the game, he went ahead to congratulate the Reds.

Arteta said: "They made the right decisions, we didn't. It is my fault. I have to set the team up to perform in a different way and that is it. Congratulations to Liverpool because they were exceptional today. That showed the difference between the two teams - that when they play at that level, the margin is incredibly high.I don't have to use any excuses - that we don't have five or six players - the standards are much higher at this football club and I have to get them to perform at that level. It was technical as well."

Diogo Jota got his brace when he was quick to react to a bubbling ball in the box of Arsenal following touches from Saido Mane.

Meanwhile, in the first half, the Gunners lost Kieran Tierney to an injury as he was substituted.

"We gave every ball away and could not put three passes together. The basics weren't there today. If you do that against this kind of opponent, you get punished like we have.

"At the moment I am in shock. I didn't expect that because of the way the team trained. It is a challenge. A challenge brings an opportunity. If you have courage and you represent a club like this, you have to stand up and take it."
