Rakitic hails his Sevilla side after victory against "tough opponents" Atletico Madrid

Sevilla defeated Atletico Madrid at the Ramon Pizjuan stadium on Sunday in the late kick off.

The home side missed a penalty in the 7th minutes only for Ocampos to miss from the spot. 

But the only goal came form Acuna in the second half of the game, which means Atletico Madrid title challenge will go down the wire. 

Sevilla have now moved into fourth position while Atletico remain in first but are trailing Real Madrid with three points. 

After the game, Sevilla captain Ivan Rakitic has praised his side's performance as he admitted Atletico Madrid were a tough opponent. 

He tweeted: "What a performance of the team, at home, against a tough opponent!"
